I think it would be real neat to work in one of those rooms where they store babies just after they are born, the rooms where all the babies are lined up in rows of cribs. When the parents of a newborn baby come to get theirs, I think I would hold two babies behind my back with one in each hand and be like, "So, which one are you going to pick? I sure hope it's the right one!" and then I'd explain that it was just a joke and give them the right baby. Or maybe not.

Well I don't have a picture of a ship, Brian, but I thought that this painting might satisfy your nautical desire. This depicts the biblical story of Jonah. I like how I made the light stream down onto Jonah because it sort of accentuates the situation that Jonah was in. I also like the accentuated muscles in Jonah's back. They are very nice. I think the whale is very scary too.

Rufus, like many children, was born. He was an extremely hearty young lad with a penchant for pasting origami to the backs of stray dogs. Other than that, I don't know much about Rufus. But here are some pictures from his life.

I am very sad to announce that a dear friend of ours has passed away. Rufus died a couple of days ago due to something. I didn't know Rufus very long, and I'm not quite sure what he was talking about on his blog, but I do know that he was a good man and he looked nice in a blue shirt. You know how some newborn animals will adopt the first animal they see as a mother? Well, the same thing happened to me when I met Rufus. I just sort of adopted him as my mother. In his memory, I will post some pictures from the life of Rufus.

What would happen if there was a group of cows grazing in a green pasture, and one of them is like "Hey, why are we standing here eating grass when we could actually be enjoying ourselves?" and then they all walk away to go get jobs. That would be amazing and maybe that story could be published in the newspaper.

Here is the first of what I hope becomes a long line of pictures. There is a story associated with this picture. I mounted a small digital camera on the top of my rifle scope and took this picture just before I bagged these little suckers. I was able to mount the heads and now I have something to enjoy while I sip on my morning fruit juice.

Well, after a long hiatus I am back and better than ever. Unfortunately, at the moment I am unable to write a long post because I am constructing a totem pole in my backyard. I would like to take this opportunity, however, to outline a couple of things you will be seeing on my blog in the near future:

- The US release of a new album that has already gone platinum in some small Latin American countries

- More pictures; some of wildlife as well as an abstract gallery that I have been compiling for some years now

- Great Yu-Gi-Oh stuff

If that isn't enough to make you salivate, I don't know what is. I personally am salivating right now, all over my keyboard and onto the floor.

Here is a small post to appease you for now. Since my last post, I have returned from my expedition and started a small garden in which I will grow many luscious things. I will tell you more about these things later. For now, my Sensei is calling me to do many great things, like wash up for dinner.

One minor note on my previous post: I had said that I would make a "small tin chinchilla casket out of cardboard." After much thought and advice, I decided to go with the cardboard casket. This was because I could use my glue stick more effectively in pasting mementos, sprinkles, and noodles on Alphonse's casket. He is now resting peacefully several inches below the ground, returning to the dust from whence he came.

R.I.P. Alphonse. We love you.

Today my chinchilla died. I am very, very sad. His name was Alphonse, and he was 3 years and 4 days old. I just went in there to get him ready for our daily bath, and I found him all stiff and motionless. So, I told myself "I suppose that means he's dead" and that was that. I cried for about 5 hours over his motionless body. I tried writing an obituary, but my flowing tears kept the ink from drying properly on the page. Tomorrow I will bury him. I wish I could bury him high in the mountains of Peru, but I suppose my backyard will have to do. I thought of burning him and spreading his ashes in my sink. I think burial is what Alphonse would have wanted though. I think I will fashion a small tin chinchilla casket out of cardboard and decorate it with sprinkles and glue macaroni on it. I will have a little service tomorrow, cry a little more, and that will be the end of it. If you have any kind things to say about Alphonse, they certainly are welcome. I am creating a wall where people can post their feelings about the kind of chinchilla Alphonse was.

On a brighter note, I watched Star Wars: Episode III for the 49th time tonight. It was a little uncomfortable in my Tusken Sand Raider costume, but when I wear that costume I pretend that I am actually in the movie. I wish I had a landspeeder and many blasters. I probably would befriend an alien and play Sabaac with him over some Twi'lek juice.

Today was the annual Renaissance Day Faire in Woodstock. I made an excellent costume, complete with genuine wool stockings and chain maile. The chain maile took me about 8 days to make. It was very difficult. But the finished product was great. At the faire, we played dragons vs. knights for a while until Tommy Schnider got a cut on his leg from a paper mache (sp?) club. It was pretty awesome though. We all pretended that we could use magic against each other. I even cast one guy into a deep sleep using my specialty: Deep Sleep. I slayed 11 Magi before I too became a victim to Norglaf. All in all, it was a very successful day.
